Attended for staff Christmas party. Lots of different teams and a great vibe. Carvery supplied was 8/10. Deserts supplied 4/10 (there should have been a sponge and custard option but everyone got the same taster deserts instead). One nitpick is that the card machines stopped working for hours so everyone without cash was left without drinks. Very frustrating and nothing offered to tie us over until much much later.

Review: "The Ghost of Christmas Cheer Absent"
If you’re searching for a Christmas breakfast that captures the spirit of a drab boardroom meeting, look no further than Ivy Farm. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a room so starkly utilitarian it seemed prepped for a PowerPoint presentation, not a festive feast. Conference tables without tablecloths, condiments, or even a hint of decoration left us wondering if we'd wandered into the wrong event.
The festive ambiance continued with what appeared to be orange juice—until we discovered it was bargain-basement cordial. Many of us poured full glasses, only to leave them untouched after one shocking sip.
Despite having confirmed vegetarian options in advance, this request was met with audible huffs from staff, who looked as though we'd asked for gold-plated eggs. Speaking of eggs, you’d better like yours fried—because there were no alternatives. The standard-issue plate arrived glistening in a pool of grease, which wasn’t exactly appetising.
The pièce de résistance? Clearing up after ourselves. Stacks of greasy plates lingered so long we had to pile them up ourselves just to make space for our Secret Santa exchange. For £20 per person, we expected at least a sprinkle of Christmas cheer—or failing that, a decent breakfast. Unfortunately, Ivy Farm managed to deliver neither.

Really enjoyed our 2 nights stay. Staff were all very friendly. Room was very comfortable and warm. It's a very enchanting hotel, with a beautiful 15th century (I think) barn restaurant . The area is a lovely natural area to visit.

This is our new local and absolutely love it, have been several times for a drink and find it a great place to unwind. Service and location are excellent.

Perfect location, and stunning grounds leading to a lovely river walk into Oulton. Very clean and spacious rooms, Could not fault the evening meals and breakfast and the friendly staff made the stay one we wish to repeat.

We got married at Ivy House in April and it was the most perfect venue.
Front start to finish Hannah was super helpful in helping us organise our perfect day. Communication was great and allowed us to have a stress free process. Every single staff member is so welcoming and helpful which really made the day even more special. Angie, oh Angie is phenomenal. So bubbly, helpful and simply a wonderful person. Nothing was too much for her. She helped myself and my bridesmaids enjoy getting ready completely and took care of any pre-wedding prep on the big day. I cannot express how much of a positive impact she had on the day for us.
The venue is absolutely stunning. Bridal prep was perfect in the Rose Suite. Lots of room, make up table to get ready at which was ideal for our hair and make up stylists and a little changing room in the corner to get our dresses on. Getting married in the beautiful Crooked barn, followed by photos in the gorgeous grounds of Ivy house. Through to Ivy Hall where the team had ensured drinks were served promptly to our guests. We decided to have a wedding BBQ which was delicious. Our guests continuously told us how much they loved the food on the day. Ivy Hall was absolutely perfect for our evening reception when all our guests arrived.
We truly had the most perfect wedding day at our perfect venue, Ivy House. Thank you to everyone for making it such a beautiful experience.

Lovely walks from the hotel no need to get back in the car till you drive home. Comfortable large rooms, great shower. The restaurant food was very good, a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and beautiful surroundings to admire or sit in.

Quiet location close to the Broads, situated on the edge of Lowestoft. Rooms are in multiple units located in spacious grounds. Very peaceful and tranquil.

A lovely hotel I would happily return to. What stood out for me is the staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and professional. The location is also fabulous for a visit to Oulton Broad.

It's a nice place and it's big enough to hold big functions... The only thing that let it down somewhat is the single track getting to and from the venue....
The traffic jams it caused was a nightmare.

Bit of a dusty track to the restaurant but food was good, service excellent and the desert ( brownie ) one of the best l have had ( have 2 scoops of ice cream though! )

Only stopped in for lunch, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Meal was disappointing, veg almost raw and pie pastry very hard. Was also put off by person serving petting and patting guests dog then serving food without washing there hands.

Really liked the hotel down a stone track so off the main road no traffic noise, rooms are set around the gardens and a short walk to Oulten Broad, will be going back at some time . Staff brilliant helpful friendly and fun, food also good and a steak meal I had was cooked just as I asked for , keep up the excellent work.
